Bastrop residents are invited to ring in the new year with something everyone’s quite sure to love — tacos.
Fort-Worth based Fuzzy’s Taco Shop is set to open at the Bastrop Station shopping center along Texas 71 in January.
The restaurant will serve up its signature baja tacos, with garlic sauce and feta cheese, as well as items like jumbo burritos, enchiladas, nachos and brisket sandwiches. It will also have a full-service bar with flavored margaritas and eight beers on tap, franchisee Eric Smith said.
He invited patrons to come out in the new year and enjoy a famed Fuzzy Driver, made with vanilla vodka and orange slushy mix, on the indoor-outdoor patio which will have roll-up walls and a retracting roof so guests can eat outside when the weather is nice or stay warm in the cold.
Fuzzy’s will also serve breakfast begining at 7 a.m., including tacos, migas and chilaquiles.
Smith, who owns two stores in Austin, says his Bastrop location will be a welcome addition to the community.
“I think Bastrop is an underserved market that will really appreciate our fun, fast, fresh food and our low price point,” he said.
The restaurant will open seven days a week, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and until midnight Fridays and Saturdays. Happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 4 to 7 p.m., when patrons can enjoy $2 small margaritas, $2.50 well drinks and $1 off all draft beers. On Tuesdays, Fuzzy’s will serve $1.50 tacos, exluding shrimp and fajita, and $5 Longhorn Beer Ritas. And on Saturdays and Sundays, breakfast tacos are $1.50 all day.
A children’s menu, catering and free Wi-Fi will also be available.
